One late night on June 19, 2015, Jimmy and I were packing our luggage as we were flying to Ohio the next morning for a week vacation in Ohio/Kentucky to visit my family. I was sitting in the floor folding my clothes and I heard Jimmy call my name. I got up and he was standing there holding our dog Phatty. Phatty had Jimmy's necklace on with a ring on it and a note attached. It read "Papa wants to know if you will marry him please?" I was completely caught off guard and of course I said YES! Jimmy had little sweat beads on his upper lip, you could tell he was nervous. It was the cutest thing ever. He said he wanted Phatty involved because she means so much to us both. Needless to say, best night ever.

There were a couple times I planned to ask Erin to marry me but there was always problems that happened because her ring was custom made just for her made by Verragio in Italy. As days and weeks went on from the time I originally ordered it I was running out of time to make the proposal I hoped for before we visited her family on vacation. The diamond finally arrived a couple weeks before we were leaving to Ohio. I had to think quickly on how to propose to Erin because all my plans before had failed because the ring was not ready or delivered on time. So the night before we left for Ohio I had to think of something quick. I had a talk with Phatty, my heart, my pup, and told her she was going to be my accomplice. I grabbed my necklace and put the ring on it and placed it around Phatty’s neck. I wrote a note that stated “My papa wants to know if you will marry him, please say yes.” I was super super nervous so I told Erin to call for Phatty. She did and I walked out with Phatty and told her that Phatty has something for her. Erin grabbed Phatty and said in shock “Oh my God is this for reals??? Are you serious?!” She said yes and I was extremely excited and happy and so was Phatty.
